Caring for your Flat Weave Area Rug
Wool has a high resistance to soiling and is easy to clean. The following are the basic rules for keeping your rug looking its best.
· Vacuum and flip over regularly.
· Remove stains and spills immediately.
· Wet clean as required.
In the case of spills, the first step should always be to scoop up or blot excess. Do not rub the stain; rubbing will spread the stain over a larger area. Most stains can be fought with cold or tepid water and a small amount of laundry detergent.
In the case of burns or scorch marks (e.g. cigarette burns); scrape lightly with fingers or a coin. For tougher marks, rub gently with a coarse brush or sandpaper.
